DESCRIPTION:Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies · 11–13 November 2026 · Vienna (new venue: Schönbrunn) \nWe’re excited to share that GreenGLAM has been accepted for presentation at CHNT31\, one of the leading conferences on digital heritage and cultural technology\, celebrating its 30-year tradition of bringing together researchers\, digital specialists\, and heritage practitioners. \nAbout our presentation\nGreenGLAM combines artificial intelligence\, cultural heritage data\, and immersive visualisation to make the sustainability contributions of galleries\, libraries\, archives\, and museums (GLAMs) more visible and accessible. DESCRIPTION:How are your collections connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals – and how can you make these connections visible? \nOver the course of the GreenGLAM project\, we have developed tools and technologies that help museums\, archives and libraries do exactly that. At our Final Stakeholder Event\, you can try them out hands-on and discuss with the developers and other GLAM professionals how they can be used in practice. \nWhat you can try \n\nDashboard – a web tool in which AI links collection objects to the SDGs\, with current Austrian events as context. Made for marketing\, PR and curatorial work.\nData Sculpture – AI analyses object metadata and web articles; the data define the size\, position and colour of the spheres. Explorable in AR/VR\, on a touchscreen or in an app.\nCONNECTA – a hacked vending machine that hands out stories about museum objects instead of sweets\, bringing collections into public space and reaching new audiences.\n\nWho should join \nProfessionals from museums\, archives\, libraries and galleries – curation\, collections\, communication\, education and digital strategy – and anyone interested in technology for cultural heritage. \nThe tools are available to GLAM institutions free of charge until the end of May 2027. \nWhere: Data Intelligence Offensive\, Stubenring 23\, 1st floor\, door 3\, 1030 Vienna – and online.
