{"id":1289,"date":"2025-11-25T13:00:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T13:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greenglam.at\/?p=1289"},"modified":"2025-12-19T09:10:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-19T09:10:00","slug":"digitale-innovation-trifft-nachhaltigkeit-greenglam-beim-digiroundtable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greenglam.at\/en\/digitale-innovation-trifft-nachhaltigkeit-greenglam-beim-digiroundtable\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Innovation Meets Sustainability: GreenGLAM at the #digiRoundtable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"75\" data-end=\"458\">At the recent #digiRoundtable hosted by Museumsbund \u00d6sterreich, we had the opportunity to present the current development stage of GreenGLAM project. We warmly thank the <strong>Museumsbund \u00d6sterreich<\/strong> for the invitation and for providing an inspiring platform to share our vision and actively engage with the GLAM community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"1082\">The presentation, delivered by <strong>Sylvia Petrovic-Majer (OpenGLAM.at)<\/strong> and supported by <strong>Lyndon Nixon (Modul Technology),<\/strong>focused on sharing the project vision and goals, exploring how cultural institutions can make their contributions to the <strong>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) visible<\/strong> and tangible.  As GreenGLAM is currently at the midway point, the event was an important opportunity to gather feedback and gain insights from stakeholders to better align our methodology with the needs and ambitions of cultural institutions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1391\">GreenGLAM is developing<strong> interactive, AI-generated virtual data sculptures<\/strong>that use augmented reality (AR) to create immersive access to sustainability data, aiming to <strong>enhance awareness and open up new spaces for dialogue between GLAM institutions and the public<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1393\" data-end=\"1613\">The discussion at the Roundtable also touched on how SDGs might be connected to collection objects \u2013 for instance, through question-driven engagement, encouraging new forms of interpretation and dialogue.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1656\"><strong data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1656\">Exploration via the CONNECTA vending machine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"2234\">The first practical exploration of this approach will be carried out through the CONNECTA project . CONNECTA is an interactive outdoor vending machine designed as an audience development tool, inviting passers-by to engage with museum content and inspiring them to visit the physical exhibition. In the context of GreenGLAM, CONNECTA also serves as a medium to raise awareness of the SDGs and to test participatory ways of linking sustainability topics with cultural heritage through active engagement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2236\" data-end=\"2565\">The response during the Roundtable clearly underlined the importance of co-creation and iterative development when addressing sustainability in digital transformation processes.
