Under the motto "Leave No One Behind!" was the theme of this year's Culture Hackathon 2025 (FH St. Pölten) focuses on creating interactive, emotionally engaging experiences that are oriented toward both the past and the future.
Moderated by Sylvia Petrovic-Majer, under the guidance of the teams in their creative work, many prototypes were developed that created an emotional connection to the SDGs.
Emotional connection and innovation
A key concept of the hackathon was the emotional identification with data. The goal was to increase the emotional impact of cultural heritage and drive digital transformation by giving historical objects a new lease on life.
Connecting GLAMs with the SDGs
The participants developed concepts that combine OpenData with the SDGs and use cultural heritage as a bridge to sustainable development.
The integration of metadata and interactivity through dashboards and 3D visualizations enable a sharper awareness of issues such as human rights and peace.
The event promoted the formation of partnerships and Matchmaking, paving the way for future collaboration.
The hackathon not only revealed new avenues for digital transformation, but also unleashed the emotional potential of cultural artifacts.
The results are a valuable contribution to creativity and sustainability in the cultural sector!
