During the Research Days 2025 from the University of Applied Arts Vienna from October 7th to 9th, standen austainability and systemic thinking took center stage. Our partner Martina Fröschl from the University of Applied Arts Vienna presented the GreenGLAM-Projekt proudly and highlighted its innovative approach to sustainability in the cultural sector.

In her presentation “Sculpting Systems: Meaning and Cultural Narratives through 3D Visualization and 3D Scans,” Fröschl presented, among other things, the 3D sculpture developed as part of the GreenGLAM project. This visualizes the activities of galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAMs) in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)The dynamic artwork makes the often invisible sustainability efforts of cultural institutions visible—and transforms data into an interactive spatial experience..

The GreenGLAM-Projekt proudly pursues the goal of raising awareness of how the cultural sector contributes to ecological and social transformation. By mapping and materializing these activities, the project promotes transparency, dialogue, and cooperation between institutions.
